Savannah asked Jesus in her heart! :)

Savannah accepted Jesus in her heart on February 8th! :-) We read a book every night called The prayer that makes God smile and after reading the book that night, we were talking about it and about asking Jesus into your heart and Savannah said "I wanna do that". I never expected to have her accept Jesus at such a young age (3 1/2) but she seemed ready. So, she knelt down beside me by the bed and repeated after me. Her big eyes were even bigger as she was looking at me while praying and her little face was so lit up...her eyes were sparlking and had a certain glow in them. It was precious. After the prayer, she jumped up and said "yeah, I did it Mommy!" and clapped for herself. Then she wanted Mommy to give her a hug. It was so sweet. She wanted to then go downstairs and talk to Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop about it, so she did and they gave her a hug too. When we went back upstairs to go to bed, I had a long talk with her about what she just did and asked her questions about it. She understood in her own little way and has Jesus in her heart in her own precious little way. It was a time that brought so much joy to my heart. After I got her in bed and stepped out of her room, I cried. I thought "this is what being a mother is all about"...to lead my little girl to have a relationship with Jesus. I feel I am fullfilling what God has me here to do. Savannah is such a precious little girl and I feel so blessed to have her. I am so joyful to see her developing a relationship woth Jesus and to see the joy and innocence that came across her face when she accepted Jesus was a beautiful thing!
I took some photos after she asked Jesus into her heart to remember the moment by. In the first picture she is holding the book that we read every night that explains about asking Jesus into your heart and that helped to lead her to do it. I meant to only take a few pictures but she was in the picture taking mood and she just looked so precious :)
