Beautiful as an angel
Sent straight from the Lord
Her mother’s heart is throbbing
In awe of this new life
Her mother’s eyes are sobbing
From the joy she feels inside
Her mother holds her gently
As she looks into her eyes
Pondering on this little blessing
She asks God why?
Why has He so gracefully given me this gift?
How can I thank Him?
What can I give?
Then she heard a whisper
That so gently cried to her
Give back to that little angel
Give back to her
Give love
Give patience
Give peace
Give what that little girl needs
Counting every new breath
That she's already given to this world
With love, her mother’s heart poured
She looked at her baby
With more love than she ever could give
As she admired her daughters face
She saw the beauty of God's grace
It was then that she realized
What a beautiful gift this is
A lifetime to be cherished
A lifetime of love to give
